This component specifically aims to improve analysis and access to information so as to achieve greater public participation in decision-making related to natural resources use and management; and to improve access to justice on such issues. The main strategy is to establish Community Based Organization (CBO) by building the capacity of these CBO’s members and communities. These CBOs have inter-linked from one area to another for learning, sharing information and solving problems. FLO will focus on capacity building for these marginalized communities and CBOs to understand about their rights, especially rights to access to information, use and manage their local natural resources; empower communities to raise their voice and assume ownership for sustainable natural resource management in order to promote community-led development. FLO will also link these marginalized communities to NGOs and government, particularly local authorities to build relationship and trust, so that they will be able to work together to manage their local resources. This will enable the communities to bravely and quickly solicit for authorities’ support and intervention in times of adversity.
